Q: About the village where I grow up

I really like to walk around in my village where I grow up. Almost every family grows some vegetable and fruits on the land, my family have some children on the backyard. Kids running around on the village road, dogs chasing after each other, bamboo and mushroom come out from the earth in the spring. Hills are few minutes walking away, shrimp swim in the stream, birds are singing. The scenery is pleasant and lovely to look at for someone who has been living in Shanghai most of the time.

People will go visit neighborhoods to chat and gift each other.

Lovely right?

Apart from the bright side, villagers tend me be having less civilization. During my visit, the first question pop from their mouth always how much money I make and when I will go find a boyfriend.

A lady shouted loudly saying that I have a round ass in front of other villagers, then they just laughed.

Sounds like a nice place to live,,,,,,,, if you can tolerate the 'people minding other people's business' aspect of a small town. Learn to throw back as well as take...  example,,, lady makes a joke about your ass,,, slam her with,, 'yeah, you are right, your husband sure likes it too!' or ''better than flat like your barn door!'  haha,,,   whatever the zinger is,,, you just have to learn to give as well as get.   and ultimately, don't let it bother you.  You see here on ECC we cut-down each other all the time.  Guarantee you we don't loss sleep over it.

You think it is a bit shit and boring now. You will change your opinion.

I also come from a tiny place. I hated it whwn i was in my twenties. Now, my dream is to return there and live a peaceful, simlple life.

Viki87:

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
