Q: Are there any semi-pro or minor leagues in China?

I haven't heard of any. I've been here for awhile, but I could be wrong. For soccer there Is GUoan, but how do you get to the major leagues when there aren't any minor leagues to scout people? Are there any minor leagues for the following sports: Basketball, soccer, can't think of any other popular team sports here. For those two are there any minor leagues and what are the names called in your city?

Well the CBA and CUBA

are basically minor league basketball teams, that is where the washed up NBA players go to play CBA.  And our H.S. teams can practice against the CUBA (China University Basketball Association) teams.

Other than that, havent hear anything, although recently read an article about Pee Wee (Am.) Football leagues starting up in Shanghai and Beijing basically by ex-pats but some Chinese found it interesting as a gateway into Am. colleges and culture.
