Q: Are Vietnamese or Thai women more affectionate than Chinese ladies?
Am I in the wrong country?
It seems like chinese ladies are really screwed up in their ways of thinking about love and relationships.
Should I go to Thailand or Vietnam?

If you haven't figured out that the differences between people within a country are far greater than the difference between the typical person in each country, you've got much bigger problems. I suggest you go to ... somewhere else. Perhaps consider looking within yourself to figure out why you're incapable of finding an affectionate girl from your native country.

Sure, by all means go to Bangkok and find yourself a submissive ladyb—lady— for the right price. Women are the same everywhere in the world, except, perhaps, in the Middle East where they're expected to do your bidding or get buried alive.

So true. I would add that in terms of affection, it's not possible to find such women in Asia. Women in this part of the world can be seen by the level of loyalty and humility not by love in the Romantic way we Westerners are used with. Thus, Vietnamese are humble people, though I wouldn't say they are more loyal than Chinese women because I've never been there. I can, nonetheless extend the mapa mundi of the loyalty by adding Philippine and Cambodian women who are so faithful to their Western husbands, especially when they find a sort of love they are not used with, a love that is intense, passionate and emotional. Thai women are cold, materialistic and really determined at getting what they want from a Westerner guy. Well, that is only from my point of view. But all in all it's loyalty that is the asset about women in Asia, not love, burning love. Yet, loyalty it's an essential part of love, but completed with passion, such love would be ...perfect. Of course, nothing it's perfect.

That is what i hear from most of my female friends and students when asked what they are looking for in a husband.
Some will add "hard working".

I'd like to add that I've been romantically involved with three different Chinese women, and almost like 30 others. I married the third one, and she's definitely a dragon lady. However, she is honest, loyal, hard-working (except while pregnant; she gets really tired and sick easily), and most importantly, loving and affectionate.
They are out there, but they're usually the younger ones. My ex is 31 now, almost 3 years older than me, and she was a mix of romantic and psycho. The older they are, the less likely they are to understand the concept of romantic love.
It's not because they're incapable of it, it's because many of them have never experienced it.

Just out of curiosity, I wonder what our resident Russian lady has to say about the general attributes of Russian women. Or, if you know, Ukraine women in particular.
I have an extended business trip to Odessa coming up and one of my colleagues, who is single, has struck up an online relationship with a woman there who he is convinced is his soul-mate.
However, in order to be a little on topic, I am sure women from there are just like women from any part of the world. Meaning, there are good ones and there are bad ones. It doesn't matter where they come from, it only matters what is in their heart.
I wonder about true affection with Asian women, a Philippino can be affectionate. Asian women are different than western women, who can be maybe too independent. Traditionally Asian women were taught things like to walk behind a man as a show of respect. I think a Cambodian woman may suit you. To show respect, these women are taught to walk in front of a man, and look for land mines.
