Q: Bad idea to list part time jobs on resume?
I know it's technically illegal to work a part time job while you also have a full time job that sponsors your visa. However, I've never seen anyone who actually cares about this.
Will I get in trouble if I list part time jobs on my resume? I mean, it's written evidence that I have technically broken the law. Does anyone have experience with this?

If you have using the CV to hunt for a new full-time job in China, yes, please leave the part-time jobs off entirely and not for the reasons that you think. Your new full-time employer might become worried that you will be doing part-time jobs after he or she hires you.
If you are sending the resume for a part-time job, then it makes little difference.
as 9819... says. But in case you would have been having just the part time job for a while (legally) then it will look better on a CV that you have been working than not. If you have a gap of unemployment that looks bad too.
My experience says..
you can mention your part time job in your C.V. but cross check that during that period what was your profession..you were student? then it is OK your were doing nothing but part time job then again it is OK
But if you were doing another full time job and as well as another part time job..then it will give a huge negative impact upon interviewer..
so cross check the time and duration of your part time job and take decision according to that..
Best to leave it out. Why raise questions.
As long as you show the work experience with the official positions you've held.
