Q: Can anyone recommend expat health insurance companies?

I'd like to buy health insurance that'll cover emergency treatment and the basics and one that'll preferably allow me access to international hospitals. But I have no idea how much this'll set me back or what company to turn to.

I've heard AXA Minmetals is good. They offer worldwide coverage and direct billing at hospitals.

Well, as i am living in a smaller city, had trouble getting an insurance. My best choice was China Life. The foreign companies are way too expensive, and this one gave me the highest coverage on the chinese ones.
Cannot be used abroad, though...

I have also used AXA for the last two years, and despite the price of their policy, the services provided were good.
But I am reconsidering now 3 new offers, because they increase the prices and change the items of their policy on a yearly basis.
Sometimes a Foreign health insurance can be less expensive than AXA, but they often require that you pay your medical bills first, and then submit the claim with the invoices to be refunded.
