I really want to teach high school Economics in Beijing or Shanghai, but many (if not all) of these schools state on their job postings that they require a document indicating a clean criminal record in the applicant's home country. I got a DUI a few months ago so I'm wondering if this one mistake is going to completely ruin my chances of ever getting a teaching gig in China. Thanks for any information you can give me.

I'd say, it depends what is listed on US Non-criminal record. I don't think, they (USGov.) list misdemeanors, 'cause that's not a crime.
You'll need to present Non-Crim Certificate, before you'll get Contract view&sign, so just apply for it, and you'll see what is listed there.
Yahoo-gle is loaded with answers. And am bored.
