you know, i am generally not the type to attack english on this site as i make more typos than anyone, and i couldnt care less if non natives work as teachers, generally i want them to find good employment as they seem to have a rougher go of things but this is too much.

Those arent typos, you genuinly seem to have a piss poor grasp of the english language and i sincerely hope you dont take a real teachers job.

I don't think Mike is being a hypocrite. He makes a valid point.

He is not being critical of the OP for his/her English writing skills, but questioning whether the OP has decided on the best career choice based on his/her skill set.

Best of luck to the OP in any case. I'm sure he/she is probably a great oral teacher of English :-)

i know a school up in the northeast that doesn't mind if you're from a non-native speaking country.  since i have been up here, they have had quite a few from africa, the philipines, germany, russia and other places.  they even can get you a z-visa.  the catch is, and there is always a catch, the foreign director is a dick.  he will use and abuse you if you let him.  i personally hate the guy, but i don't work for him.  he has quite a bad reputation with the foreigners.  he is a business man first.  he will try to contract you out to numerous schools in your free time and take a percentage.  the trick to dealing with him is stand your ground and stand up for yourself.  what visa do you have now?  where are your from?  not that it matters, i'm just curious.  send me a message if you are interested.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
