Just curious what kind of degree you would need and would a 2 year culinary arts degree suffice? Thank you.

Well this should shake up the overpriced liberal elite privileged education cartel. Good riddance anyway.
No! It wouldn't be accepted, you have to have a 4 year degree, I believe there is a law for Teachers that have a teachers license and a 2 year degree might be accepted. But a 2 degree in culinary wouldn't do it. You can try to get away with it, no harm in applying. Just make sure you have TEFL or better to add in.
I met a guy working at a bar im Shanghai who had a degree in Hospitality. Here I was thinking that Sociology and Communications degrees were a waste of time but no, you can get a degree on how to make a mocha latte.
The word 'degree' has a particular meaning - and it means "something above a Diploma". Ie, university level...
So, if your Culinary thing is a Bachelor degree, technically, you'll be fine! (in Australia, many of our bachelor degrees only take 3 years! I suppose it's cos we're smarter and have better education :D)
If your piece of paper says "Diploma", you're SOL!
