Q: Do Hakka living in different provinces speak the same dialect?

Is the Hakka dialect the same for Hakka people living in different provinces? Different accents? Or all exactly the same?

Pretty damn close if not 100% the same, i know this as i brought a "lady friend" of mine back home one year and she's from Guangdong and is Hakka and she spoke with my friend who is from Taiwan and is also Hakka and they seemed to be chatting up a storm quite flawlessly... she also spoke to some Hakka people in Sichuan as well seemingly without any problems...

A: Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever
A:Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever foreigners do.  I spent 15 years in China but I wouldn't say there are that many don'ts....Don't assume that many people speak English though and learn some Chinese. Don't speak much about politics unless you want to praise Chinese system.  -- Natalie363
