We eat pork mostly.Probably just once we will have beef each week Cause My husband and I don't really know how to cook beef well even steak LOL ,It always turns out too hard LOL.we barely eat Chicken and fish because of tiny bones.
What about you guys?
I have eaten rat, cat and snake.
Mostly, however, i eat the "mystery meat" in the school canteen...
GuilinRaf:
Nonono, i said that I "have" eaten them, not that I do so on a regular basis. At least, I dont think I do. . .
God only knows WHAT animal the mystery meat was before the cook got her plastic covered hands on it. . .

Guilin,I got what u mean.seriously,I would never eat rat and cat.maybe I will try snake one day.No not sure tho.
In China? I ate frog tonight, we often eat shellfish, snails are quite often on our menu too.
In the past in other countries, I've eaten, venison, pigeon, rabbit, tuna, grouse, turtle, shark, snake, horse, zebra, antelope, crocodile, warthog (pork with big teeth I suppose), ostrich, was offered monkey but said no to that, (it was on a spit roast and looked for all the world like a little human baby).
A lot of the more unusual meats was at a moderately famous restaurant in Nairobi called Carnivores. Horse was in Germany and was lovely, still love that meat.
maggiegirly:
yes,in China.
wow,You eat Frog.thats awesome.I wish my husband would eat frog sometimesLOL,but he found its disgusting.like Chicken feet LOL
I like to eat frog a lot as well.Yummy

I've eaten at Carnivores in Nairobi! It was my first taste of crocodile. Excellent food and atmosphere. We stayed there overnight on our way to Mombasa, eventually taking part in a photo safari down at the Masai Mara Game Reserve. While there, the local tribesmen cooked wilder beast over an open pit (bar-b-que style), and we also had zebra.
Turkey, venison (deer meat), and buffalo (its like a cross between a cow and a yak) are all pretty fantastic. I wish that I could get a hold of them here. As far as some of the stranger local fair is concerned, I'm a little squeamish. I will admit to having ate dog. It wasn't bad. A little gamy for my taste, and I probably won't eat it again.
squid, snake, crocodile, scorpion, snail, caterpillar, frog and bat.
Octopus meat contains a high proportion of protein, though it may be a stretch to call it meat. The taste is ... well anyway it contains a lot of protein.
Back home I shot a snake and ate it. It was OK.
I have dog and cat. I eat fur, there always seems to be fur on and in everything.
Chinese beef is not aged, not very good. I not like pork too much. Mostly I eat chicken or duck. I hate fish or things that taste like fish. I had shark once, it was good. almost like pork chop. Too bad most sharks are killed for fins and not eaten. Squid and octopus taste like rubber. Deer is too gamey. Moose is good.
I do not eat beef here in China at all, except perhaps at McDonald's or Burger King. Even when I buy beef, and even when the vendor swears that it is beef, somehow, somehow, when I cook it, it doesn't smell like beef nor does it taste like beef. I also have wondered about this...is it horse? water buffalo? donkey? So in the end, I just pass on beef here.
When you come to Australia next make sure you try Kangaroo, Emu,and Witchetty Grubs
and most of all, try our Moreton Bay Bugs

Thanks,I will for sure. and I am happy to try new stuff.
I only eat seafood and birds....and no more pigeon.
This helps me not get suckered into eating messed up things.
I eat more tofu than any man has ever seen.
I like duck alot. I even love duck's neck.
I love when crawfish season starts. Early summer nights with crawfish and cold beer outside!

Up vote for Crawdads. They are excellent with a little bit of melted butter.
duck and turkey, like most people living in china ive had plenty of opportunities to eat other things like frogs, snake dog and so on but ive always refused to try
Lamb! How has lamb not been mentioned?! I love venison and buffalo - but neither are available where I live at the moment. Also a big thumbs up for duck, but I'm terrible at cooking it so I don't eat it often now I'm not in China. I eat a lot more types of seafood than just fish, most often prawns and squid. Quite a lot of different types of meat actually; although one of the best things I learned living across Asia was that meat doesn't have to be the protein base of a meal - beans, tofu and lentils are now on high rotation in my diet.
My family recipe, weiner water soup.
Mystery meat, Soylent green is people. Yes due to overpopulation and dwindling resources Soylent Green is available now, just as the movie predicted.

i think beef is most delicious...especially the 牛肉干。。
The goose in Foshan is by far the most tasty meat I have eaten here. My friend used to take me to a place there to eat it every night. I couldn't get enough of it.
Frog, dog, kangaroo, krok, bugs, horse, seafood all are good.
