I do feel happy here. In my opinion a happy life is freedom. Freedom to do what you want go where you want with out any worries. Unfortunately where I'm from freedom is what everybody strives for, but since the attacks people have been afraid to do and go where they went before, traveling especially.

Like anywhere you live, there are both happy and unhappy moments.
My life is good here because I have no financial worries and save 95% of my salary per month. Been here for 5 years so have a nice little nest egg. That makes me happy.

What drives me crazy are the usual things that piss off Westerners  - dealing with idiotic Chinese people and trying to adapt to their "ways".

Not complaining - just pointing out.

MissA:

How the heck do you manage to save 95 per cent of your salary? China isn't that cheap!

Monterey:

I guess I am fortunate that my company pays for all my expenses (apart from anything recreational, like booze) but everything else is covered. We dont really go out alot so I dont spend too much
