Me and most guys I know don't like makeup.  It's nice for fancy occasions like expensive dinners or weddings or something.  But don't need it most days.  Most men I know appreciate natural beauty.

Women can look better with makeup. I think for every day no makeup is fine, sometimes it is nice use a little, make your boy friend happy.

My girl friend is a makeup artist. she only does her eye brows. she looks great to me.

I almost never wear makeup for the same reasons. I think makeup is ok sometimes, but if a guy expects you to wear it all the time when you don't like to, he's not the guy for you.

i must disagree with ted on this. natural beauty is best. since you do not like make-up find a guy that can appreciate your natural beauty. you are right vicky it does do harm to your skin.

if that is you in your photo, please do not wear make-up.

If you have good skin, then forego the makeup, no need to cover up something that's already awesome!.  If you have bad skin....well....might wanna try a little makeup

Chinese skin normally no need makeup.. unless got marks .. (observed girls from poor background in china got many marks on face..)

But i think it would be good for Chinese girls to make up a bit your eyes.... looks better than no makeup...

Ohohoo...Seeing the question about make up, I remember few instances where I saw couple of girls with make up. One particular, I could never forget as if those two ladies are still in front of my eyes.

I was at a food store. When I went to the cashier, I saw two young ladies ahead of me with extremely hot outfit. Oh Gosh!!! One year in China and I have never seen ladies like that. Absolutely striking red nail polish on their fingers. Wo Wo! What about their face. Complete white as if they put layers and layers of quick lime on their face (bit exaggerated but it was absolute white). I even told it to my GF about this but she has no explanation.

Well, now talking about me as a guy, yes I do like light make up now and then. Sometimes to show the world and to say, look how beautiful my girl is (hahahaha). Anyway, I am happy without make up.  I am more affectionate about two things, mascara on eye lashes and nice smell of perfume. Just a touch of perfume is perfectly fine for me. I particularly don't like lipsticks as not only girls consume (swallow) it, we (man) also consume some doses of them every day (kissing!!!!).

In west, all those make ups especially lipsticks have to go through rigorous lab test. Remember! they can consist high doses of harmful metals or elements. For example, if the lipstick is strikingly red, it may consist Cr and Hg. I remember that  my senior colleague in Germany was once measuring ranges of lipsticks for trace elements in it provided by the company. Now a days many make up products there are labeled also about its contents.

In China, few months back, one of my student was measuring mercury, selenium and arsenic in few Chinese brands. In China, for easy fix of colors they use cinnabar (HgS, major source of Hg) which is red in color. Though the concentration of Hg was not at toxic levels, they are elevated at some levels( i exactly don't remember the amount now). But imagine if you use it every day for long period, how much you are going to accumulate inside you!!!!!!

Bottom line! I will neither complain about not using make up nor ever encourage to use it as long as she will have a touch of sweet smell of perfume (only this can seduce me)...

If she wears makeup all the time, I wonder what she looks like without it. If she never wears makeup, then I wonder what she looks like with it....

Hell Yes, a little mascara and eye liner once in awhile is nice, just not too much. I like wearing makeup too.
