Does anyone use blue cross blue shield international coverage? How does it work, should be apply for it? Which country would it work in around Asia?

Agree with Hunny above. If I was considering to use any company like this is read there website first, including (especially!) the policy exclusions. 

 

Poor or attempt at marketing.......

I don't think this is a poor attempt at marketing at all...it could be a reasonable question.

 

When I first moved here I was still on my dad's insurance and it was in fact BC/BS...it's valid pretty much everywhere it's just a question of whether they do direct billing or not. 

 

If they don't do direct billing you have to pay out of pocket and then fill a claim for reimbursement later. Kind of a pain but your still covered.

 

I never had the experience of using it because knock wood i've yet to get sick or hurt.

 

Where you should go for medical treatment for something serious is either Seoul, Tokyo or Hong Kong depending on where you are. Some better hospitals/clinics here might take it but frankly if it's serious...you don't want to rely on China.
