Q: Does big game hunting exist in China?

... or do the filthy rich Chinese tycoons go to Africa for that? Is it even popular at all?

In a country where private possession of firearms is totally prohibited, even bow and arrows are on the "no-no" list, do you think locals could do "big game hunting " with BB guns ?.  Or a sling ?.

Maybe they can revive the "atlatl" or spear throwers our ancestors used...?

If throwing stars, extending battons, bow and arrow are not allowed, do you think an atlatl would be?. By the way, I used one to hunt for deer in Louisiana, and once you master them, they are good !.

First think about it for a minute. Have you ever heard of big hunting games in China? So if you haven't then the answer is no. Most of the big hunting games are done in Africa. They killed countless rhinos just for the horns. There is nothing to hunt up here in China so no they wouldn't. Although foreigners may be more inclined to venture out into China local people wouldn't dare to do it. And no they also don't go to other countries for big hunting games or otherwise you would have heard about it before.

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
