I used to be one after class, when getting a foreign teenager was all the rage(I would get stuff that a teenager desires, like fast food, cinema, alcohol and MONEH), so I got to meet some Chinese ones. But they are mostly bitchy, skinny, ugly boytoys, who didn't have much in their favor.

In fact, we do believe we met one who was working as a tour guide for western women. We cannot prove this but we went to dinner with them and I can say it was pretty clear to us what was going on.

There used to be a club, can't remember if it was called Ferrari or Armani that apparently was full of gigolos but it's closed down now. I heard that 'Angelina's' near People's Square is the 'place to be' if that's you're thing now.

They do exist in China. As a male, it was a bit uncomfortable for me, but I was invited to such a bar by a female colleague of mine. I can clearly remember the guy who walked around in a black military style hat, with black leather-looking straps situated diagonally across his stomach and chest, black pants, and.. well I never looked at his shoes. He was very well built, but not totally Herculean, and definitely had some swagger.There were several like dressed men (they dressed differently, but all were suggestive).

That club/bar is in Shanghai and is a hangout for 30-something-plus business ladies, usually unmarried, no children, etc.. My colleague is a Harvard educated MBA holder whom falls into that category unfortunately.

As far as I know, men can go as long as they have a chaperone that is a member.
