Is worth visiting anymore than Rt-Mart.

Yes, but they all carry tags 'Made in China'.
'add-it': RT absolutely rocks over WallMart. For a mile.'
There is a decent sized imported foods section at the Walmart near me. You can get imported milk, cereal, pasta, cheese, snacks, alcohol and more. It's still mostly Chinese stuff but the imported food section is not bad.
Western Walmart or Eastern Walmart?
We all live in the global village, but in the minds of the coporations, the global village is regional.
RT Mart had "Hob Nobs!".....I was very happy!
Even the locals liked them.
Unfortunately the GF gave them to her son to take on a school trip...he was popular, I was less than impressed.
One day "Park & Shop" had some Waitrose tins (Why???)
Cream of tomato soup!!!!!.....OMG!

IF YOU REALLY WANT TO HAVE A FIESTA.....FIND AN "OLE!"...Shenzhen & Guangzhou.
HOG HEAVEN I SWEAR, BUT BE PREPARED FOR THE WALLET TO TAKE A KICKING!!!
(Extra Mature Cheddar, A1 Sauce, Tortilla Chips, Goddamitt!!! Newcastle Brown Ale!!!)
Yes but limited choice.
If you are in a bigger city first or second tier you might want to check out Taste, Ole, Metro and CitySuper, these are specialized into imported foodstuff, you can find everything.
You should at least go there once to see the difference. My local Wal-Mart's import section is pretty lame, and unpredictable. Went looking for something specific last night, and was met with my favorite phrase, "mei you". The selection is still better than the local RT-Mart. Better options for supermarkets with western goods are Metro (reasonable) and Ole (expensive).

I was kidding with RT.
What kind of Q is that? Can't you go to Wall and see, what do they have?
Ohhh, you don't want to waste your time, so let's get fast Board's suggestion?
I think, that Q fits into 'obligations' or 'quota': 'I must ask 3 Q a week/month. By the Contract'.
dokken:
Um dumbass, I think I ask about 3 questions a month. A lot less than your 17 answers on one question. I asked about wal mart because I was hoping it would have a far bigger import selection and for cheaper. I knew it would not be true. Just wanted it confirmed. I will be near one when I return to china and I was curious. I cannot really decipher your English so I had at guess at what you were saying. If you don't like the question then don't answer here.
icnif77:
Do you need to travel far to the Wall? Is it in another Province?
Just go there, and see what do they have.
My local Walmarts suck arse...
The Metros weren't too bad, but I don't bother with them any more now that I've got a BLT (which is a re-labelled OLE, but the OLE name was already taken down here).
BLT rocks - compared to the other stores in Hangzhou... but not as much as nice shopping in Shanghai.
RT>walmart has also been my experience. more choices and better price.
they have more customers too. i wonder if Walmart was misled about the Chinese market.

I think Walmart's vegetable section is way cheaper than RT mart though. Of course they're a bit dirtier and you gotta work to find the good ones... if you do though then its a savings goldmine. Walmart does discounts more often than RT Mart too... esp on Chips a Hoy, Oreos, and those Nestele shark wafer bars! But you have to catch them. Oddly enough Walmart won some quality award like 2 years ago from the government. Anyway they are in dire need of changing up their store scheme. The lines at the cash registers are ungodly long.
I'm looking at a bag of "Asses'glue [sic] Crystal Honey Jujube" I bought yesterday at the Wal-Mart (don't confuse with Wu-Mart) just north of Caishikou in BJ. Guess what? The "Asses'glue" is a "Great Value"! That's the Wal-Mart house brand. I had to buy the bag to give to my brother. I'll bet he won't see any "Asses'glue" where he lives!
