Q: Getting a work visa after graduating with a master's degree
Hey, yet another work visa related question,
So I had heard about this new policy where graduate students (in China) could transfer to a work visa after graduation (as long as they had good grades, non-criminal background, health check...) without needing 2 years of post-graduation work experience or even having to go back to get a Z visa (which kind of makes sense since I'm already here...)
I'm graduating from a master's degree program in a few weeks and have already found a company that would like to hire me, but now I'm hearing some people say that that's not really how it works in Beijing, and that they are still requiring 2 years of work experience, and that I would have to go back home to get my visa done, now the latter doesn't bother me that much, but the former puts me in a pickle since I don't have post-graduation work experience (I came here right after getting my undergrad degree back home)
I keep looking around online and no one seems to know,
any chances any of you nice folks knows what's happening?

They changed the Law in April 2017 and they are implementing it in Tier-1 cities, so nobody knows what is really going on. Not even Chinese.
As I know, 2-years of working experience after graduation, (or before taking an English teaching job) was put in the place to prevent freshly graduates to take the position at Chinese Schools.
I might be wrong, 'cause I ain't that young anymore, he he.
If you have Z visa sponsor/employer ask them to inquire about that at Chinese Gov.
Z visa application should be done at Chinese Embassy in your home country, especially if it's the first time.
