I am looking to for a good textbook I can buy in a book store to teach English to a Chinese friend of mine. I would like it if there was an audio component to it. It would have to be for beginner.

Basically most of the books about teaching English that are available in China are rubbish, because they are developed and printed in China.
Depending on the city you are located, you might not find any imported books that also have an audio component.
They would also be expensive.

These are CELTA recommended books - they also have an accompanying audio CD
not cheap
It depends on which city that you are in as Sorrel said. But I found some pretty decent books in the Guangzhou Books Building that might be found online as well. These are the Cambridge Touchstone series and include both Student and Teacher's books as well as an audio component. Haven't tried out the latter yet but seems fine. This is published in China via Cambridge University Press so the price is not too expensive either
New total English can be found on torrents , thanks Sorrel.
As advised in a previous reply, stay away from the China 'genuine fakes' copies, reprints. They are all to often full of spelling mistake and very poor grammar. I usually go all out to find the genuine prints from Cambridge, Pearson/Longman and such like. I brought one book from the UK 'Say it right' essential words and phrases, which s great for youngers student or as an introduction to English. Often when at home to the UK, I would scrounge books from various schools at various levels. I find all are more than happy to accommodate.

I bought tons of these "fake genuine" copies of books on Taobao and never found any mistakes in them. They were just as good as the original ones. Perhaps I was just lucky.... Anyway, always make sure to double check which edition of the book the seller is offering on Taobao, JD etc. If you find some really cheap ones they are probably older versions.
