Q: Has eating too much street food given you anal leakage?

It has been over 2 weeks since I gave it up but the symptoms still remain.

I mostly cook at home now (mostly the GF cooks).  Are there any street food connoisseurs out there and what has been your reaction?

Parasites that will pass or a certain reason to see a doctor or nothing to bat an eyelash at?

I ate street food most nights, noodles and 1 or 2 meat sticks, never had a problem. I kept getting plugged up. Some advice to quote Jack Nicholson,," never trust a fart". I eat more bread in China than I do at home.

It used to. Every so often, I get it bad. But, on the flip side, it makes you freakin' invincible. You can't appreciate it until you go on vacation. It doesn't matter how third world the country--you can pretty much just wander around, eating whatever, and not feel a thing.

"I mostly cook at home now (mostly the GF)." Perhaps that is where your troubles are coming from! Cannibalism is not meant to be the staple part of your diet. Add some vegetables (Silva), nuts (Victoria1997), and fruit (Silva & Victoria1997's love child) (at least three servings each per day).
I edited my answer, too!

Never had any problems from street food, but twice from new restaurants... all that in five years. That inconvenience usually lasts about one week. All in all, not too bad.

No, but since coming to China, I have the worst case of flatulence that this world has ever seen... it still hasn't gone away.

It can take me about 2 weeks to get over a bad case.  Sometimes I cut-back on everything except fruit and water to hurry it up a bit. I think it's difficult for many here to say whether you should see a doc or not because we can't know how bad you feel.

Many times got it here Sad I stop street food long time ago, but still remain. It is probably because the same shit is used in the common restaurant or even the Family Mart chain foods. So the only way is : Buy really really imported Olive oil and cook every food by yourself. :-)

You know, now that I think about it, I had it early on, but started eating a lot of bread. Even one slice of bread with your meals will conquer it. Back home in the United States of Wumaoica, I often ate a slice of bread with my meals, and it helped a lot.

Picking stuff up and eating stuff off the sidewalk is not the street food meant in the topic.

Anal leakage happens, after a couple of years in Asia I'm mostly used to it. During my first month I had a bad case from dirty beef skewers, I had the leakage for 24 hours, ruined two sets of sheets in my hotel, and drank about a gallon of water. I'm more careful where I eat now - always in places that smell good, with healthy-looking other diners, and with a steady stream of people coming in and out. Haven't had a problem in 4 months now.

I envy those of you that have access to them delicious street Kebabs ...full day journey for me ..... beef, lamb, pork, rat on a skewer ...God i miss them ...  not even being cynical, I do like them from time to time...... maybe my next foray into the Chinese business world. half a beer keg (readily available) home made stand .... a grate and some quality coal... to get started...  skewers and something to skewer ...mmmm...mouth is watering as I dream of this fine cuisine.....

Looks like Westerners' eating habits aren't that different from Chinese nongming farmers.

Apparently, eating street food regularly will eventually make you immune to all the disease and bacteria contained in it.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
