Q: Have you done SCUBA diving training in China?

I've been thinking about adding on a few specialization courses with the goal of eventually reaching Advanced Open Water but it seems like there isn't much out there in Beijing. The manager of the local Beijinger expat mag is a dive instructor but he does PADI and my program (that I want to stick with) is SSI. Anyone done SCUBA specialization courses in China? Think I should just wait to my next vacation in SE Asia?

A:Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever foreigners do. I spent 15 years in China but I wouldn't say there are that many don'ts....Don't assume that many people speak English though and learn some Chinese. Don't speak much about politics unless you want to praise Chinese system. -- Natalie363
