China is a jogger's worst nightmare, unless of course you are in the countryside.

Google your question.  Also try the IAAF site for leads. A few other things to ponder:

Don't see too many joggers in my area, although there are some - usually middle-aged men in track suits out for a morning run.

I wouldn't jog here without a carbon filter face mask and since I don't like wearing masks, I don't jog. (Well, I'm lazy, too.) The next best thing is a treadmill at a gym.

Virtually every public school has an outdoor running track, PE classes & a "sports day" at least once a year with running, throwing and jumping events.

The Olympic sport of athletics (i.e. track and field) is followed by die-hard fans only and admirers of Chinese runners such as Liu Xiang, gold medallist and world champion, now injured & out of commission.

I limit my running to a treadmill or a local middle school's running track.  All my other athletic endeavors are likewise kept away from public roads (go to the gym, climb the mountain, etc).  The air pollution is not too terrible in my little city, so that's not a factor for me.  I've never seen anyone running (for leisure purposes anyways) along public roads in China.  You might see a few cyclists here and there donning their colorful spandex outfits, but even that's a crapshoot with Chinese motorists sharing....or not sharing the road.

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
