If you're an employee, if at a managing position, the rates go from 5-45% of your income.
1) Less than RMB 500 => 5%
2) RMB 500.01 to 2000 => 10%
3) RMB 2,000.01 to 5000 => 15%
4) RMB 5,000.o1 to 20,000 => 20%
5) RMB 20,000.01 to 40,000 => 25%
6) RMB 40,000.01 to 60,000 => 30%
7) RMB 60,000.01 to 80,000 => 35%
8) RMB 80,000.01 to 100,000 => 40%
9) More than RMB 100,000 => 45%
I hope this helps
So, if you are being paid cash as a teacher here, is the money you are getting already taxed? Or do you have to fork over 20% of your earnings at some stage before you leave the country....or.....well, how does that work?
If you're being paid cash in hand and you're here on a visitor or business visa, you need not worry about it as you shouldn't have been working to begin with so don;t say anything to anyone and you're fine... But if you're in the system you should find out where or who to pay... I can take your tax money for you if you like...
But who is responsible to pay the tax then, the employee or the employer? If i requests 10000 RMB/M and the employer accepts that. Will i get 10000 then and the employer pays the tax... Please explain if someone knows.

You must discuss that with the employer. Ask for 10,000 after tax.

Ok, but what is normal? If an e,ployee writes Requested salary: 10000, does it means including tax?
if u working legally, then a lot. I'm not gonna try to figure percent, but I remember getting hit for 400/month on a 10k salary.

that would be 4%, thats not much. back in germany i paid 42%
once you are married it lowers but then you pay tax to your wife...
in china it is depending on how much you earn. As far as I know under 5000 is taxfree. Just dunno the exact numbers. In my contract is only the money after tax stated so i dont really care
