Q: How to solve this?
After I come back to Shanghai from America, I felt a deep depression and become extremely lazy and didn't even reply customer's inquiries in the office. Which is bad, how can I adust it? I need to do work to make money but lost interest and engery in doing work in China.
Mainly because I felt too bored after come back, life in America is more inteteresting to me as most people look diffeent to me, guys look more attractive there^^ That is the main reason I become too depressed in Shanghai now. lol
And some other reason I feel not happy to be back because standards in New York is higher than in China, resturants are much more cleaner and organized.
In Shanghai, almost everyday, the chinese men will stare at me nonstop. In New York, most white men will not stare nonstop(I guess because they are more polite), most men call me beautiful and sexy there in the street are the blacks. Maybe the white guys are more educated there than the blacks. I do not try to be a racist but just saying a fact. I feel many chinese men are creepy.

Yeah, I think you are having a natural reaction. Now you have a goal to pursue! Find a job working abroad, USA or Western Europe maybe, surely the big multi-nationals have a need for a bilingual employee. After all, PRC & USA are each other’s biggest trading partners.
Now you know how we feel about getting stared at! I’m a pretty normal looking fellow, granted blonde hair and blue eyes maybe makes them stare more, and I’m usually in 2nd & 3rd tier cities where some, especially the old folks have very rarely ever seen a laowei. But gosh Viki, take the stares you got in NY and multiply by 10, that’s about how much I get. I pretty much ignore, but sometimes it raises my ire.

I just found chinese men ugly and felt zero interest on them but feel annoyed with the nonstop staring.

yeah,, I try not to speak bad about the people here,,, but seeing these guys smoking, doing that horrible spitting sound, shouting instead of speaking, I just feel sorry for the females here.

I think china's economy is going up fast because china took the manufacturing job, but most factories do not have good system to control the quality. If the western countries stop buying from China, the economy in China will collapse immediately. But chance with this happening is very small as long as RMB remains cheap.
It saies a big issue in China like the economy, I could tell that the people in New York are generally more educated than the people in Shanghai. What china lacks is the quality, which reflects on many sides.
What I still enjoy in China is the cheap price, the safety for having less terrorism, many job opportunities. But with regards to the quality of people, makes me feel very unconfortable.
But oh well, it is still a country where my family lives and where I born, i'd say it is still special to me even I think I like America more now.

The Chinese stare at at anyone who doesn't fall into what is considered the norm to their eyes. My wife is Chinese too but since she is 179cm tall (5ft9) which is taller than almost every other local girls and probably 90% of the local dudes, she gets stared at a lot too, especially people will stare at her feet wondering whether she is wearing high heels LOL.

Once I told the policeman, he simply said why he doesn't stalk other women but only you. wtf
I know I have criticized you in the past, but it seems as though you really have gained something from your trip. If so I hope you keep the lessons you have learned and use it to your success. Sometimes you need to step outside of your comfort zone to realize what is truly missing.

And they banned my vpn, it made me very mad. Again? The CCP acted so insecure and scared for having the people to hear a diffrent voice from the outside world, that's pretty insane to me.
After a few day's backing in China, now I feel I do not like China more than before I leave China.
A news said a 16 years old Argentina girl got 9 children after dating 3 guys, the chinese girl in my office said foreigners have crazy life and she'll never marry a foreigner. What a fool. I really feel most mainlanders are stupid.
I feel like they are living in the kindergarden having no idea of having a good view of the whole thing.
