The best way to get in at the moment is by wearing a pangolin suit or disguising yourself a peccary penis. First class all the way baby!

Its gonna be difficult to find a flight since most airports are closed or operating with minimimim flight operations and tighter controls to minimize the spread .... but your local embassy will be your best guide

Retaliation for what? I thought China's borders were closed to everyone now, especially to countries that are a covid hotspot.

tit-for-the tit ...

Chinese closed borders for arrivals from western countries 'cause West closed borders for Chinese in January ...

This one is part of the trade war, not outbreak ... that much. Chinese imposed curbs on US firms, diplomats and what not ..., so Trump-a is returning with blocking Chinese airlines to land in USA.

"The Department will continue to engage our Chinese counterparts so both U.S. and Chinese carriers can fully exercise their bilateral rights," the statement read.

It continued: "In the meantime, we will allow Chinese carriers to operate the same number of scheduled passenger flights as the Chinese government allows ours."

I wonder how Ming's case will develop. It looks, she'll be extradited to USA ... and two Canadians held by China will never be released. Russians are holding one US ex-soldier, who was apparently set-up by Ruskies. He travelled and lived in Russia for some 10-years and suddenly he became a spy.

I considered us lucky, 'cause human has two tits ...

Yeah, could be I suppose.

China's ambassador had a lot to say (complain about would be a better way to describe it - I think the words 'unfairly' and 'predjudiced' were thrown around in the Chinese media ) when NZ closed the border to Chinese back in the early days of the pandemic, it was quite ironic that they did the same thing after they got the virus under control and didn't want it back in the country.

I think any country getting pissy because of border closures in a pandemic is pretty unreasonable and a bit childish to be honest. I understand normal tit for tat trade squabbles but not wanting people bringing a virus into your country should be a no brainer.

Diplomatic Tussle Continues Over U.S.-China Flights

China has made some concessions, apparently in response to a June 3 Trump administration order that would bar four Chinese passenger carriers from operating into and out of the U.S. effective June 16.

Four Chinese carriers have maintained flights to and from the U.S. in recent weeks. They are Air China, China Eastern, China Southern and Xiamen. In mid-February, these Chinese carriers were operating 20 flights per week. By mid-march, the number had increased to 34, according to USA Today.

The Trump Administration says its June 3 order was to protest China’s failure to respond to requests by Delta and United to resume flights, which the Administration alleges violates a 1980 bilateral agreement. (American Airlines is hoping to resume operations in October).

Trump Suspends Entry of Chinese Students and Researchers: First Impressions

President Trump has issued a May 29 Proclamation on the Suspension of Entry as Nonimmigrants of Certain Students and Researchers from the People’s Republic of China.

From my perspective as an immigration lawyer, the proclamation appears to be counter-productive, a distraction from real measures needed to fight Beijing’s theft of sensitive technologies, and an attempt to boost Trump’s electoral odds by stoking xenophobia.
