Q: I am moving to Shanghai! Would anybody have suggestions on a good location for apartments?
My company has factories about 30 minutes north of the city and they provide a shuttle service back and forth to there from the Shanghai city area.
I am still currently in USA but would like to start checking a few apts. online.
I would appreciate any advise!
I would like to add a couple of things. I am alone so a small one bedroom with decent proximity to groceries and restaurants.
What is your budget?I guess it would be good for you to share the flat with people.It would be cheaper.And where is the detailed location of your company?

I think my budget will depend on how much I like the apartment. I dont want to share my flat with others!.. My company provides a shuttle to the office that is located about 30 minutes north of Shanghai.
I am guessing that 3500 - 5000 rmb might be an approximate budget?
Are you familiar with Shanghai?

Pudong is Cheaper and going to be as convenient as downtown.

My friend had a small one bed place near the Shanghai Expo location. Right next to the metro station. 1700 per month excluding utilities.
