3 years 52 weeks ago in Business & Jobs - China
becasue Chinese people don't waste their time playing games online or online shopping when they should be working.
Becasue Chinese people always do the work immediately and don;t leave it to the last minute.
becasue Chinese people flag problems they encounter in their work, and don;t wait for the manger to be standing over them in order to do their work.
Becasue Chinese people ask questions about their work so they understand exactly what has be done, and then don't need to be supervised in any way.
Becasue Chinese people don't need to rest after lunch.
Becasue Chinese people will always be the last out of the building at the end of the day - hours after they should have gone home.
Becasue Chinese people love their jobs and don't care if they are paid really low wages.
Becasue Chinese people are the bestest in the world when it comes to everything.
Becasue non-Chinese people are lazy.
it is simple really.

I once read that sarcasm was recognised by less then 40% of people. None of them are Chinese. ????
sorrel:
@Sandnose
sarcasm??
moi??
we all know how hard-working Chinese people are
you are a bad laowei to suggest otherwise
Sandnose:
No no no, I would never suggest such a thing. I was just relaying an interesting factoid that in no way should be construed as alluding to your honest and heartfelt reply.
icnif77:
You better get yourself some hard work ... ... both of you!

@icnif77
are you saying that i am a lazy laowei ??
of course - silly me
i forgot that Chinese people work during their lunch hours and then on until it is time to sleep
icnif77:
No, I am not saying ...
Your Chinese is not that fluent ... it's 'ni shi laowai' ... contrary to mine ...
'neu-bi', im-bi', 'sha-bi' ... You don't want to know the story ...
Once I walked into the bank trying to break 10 Rmb ... I guessed right at the third time I approached the same counter. Always when she said 'mei you' I exited the bank and went through the Chinese dictionary ... stored in my head.
The right word is 'im-bi' and other two mean 'awesome' and 'loser'.
Holding 10 paper note in my hand with president's pic on and calling ... the wrong word .. twice.

996 is so common in China because everyone loves to do unpaid overtime. The longer they can drag out a task the more the boss will praise them for their hard work.
Here's how it is done; arrive a work one minute before you get a fine, go to the toilet, gossip there, go to desk, check wechat moments, repost and laugh about how clever and original it is, make a cup of tea, gossip, return to desk, check wechat moments and reply to messages you received last night, turn on computer, check wechat moments, glance at emails, mark all as read, check moments, go to toilet with all but one co worker, you hate her because the boss said she did a good job, return to deask, study meituan menus and discuss with your clique, check moments, order maituan, check moments, ignore messages, take a few selfies, gather clique to wait for food delivery, make douyin video on the way, share with the planet and demand likes, check moments, gossip and flirt with the smokers crowded around the main entrance, check moments, condescendingly take food from delivery person, check moments, take selfie, take foodie, pour scorn on the girl who spent the morning doing her job swho will eat in the company canteen, gloat about the high cost of your lunch, complain about everything, check moments, go to toilet with clique, take selfie where you just pooped, post to moments, return to desk, mark new emails as read, impatiently wait for midday, check moments, rush out on the stole of noon, ensure everyone knows what you are eating and how much it cost and how it isn't up to the standard you require, insult someone to their face, check moments, return to desk, passive aggressively insult the girl who is trying to finish a task before the takes a break, unpack sleep accessories, check moments, sleep for 2 hours. Wake up angry, repeat morning routine until boss says to go home. Pity yourself for working so hard, being an unrecognised genius and backbone of the organisation, get in car, start engine, make phone call, say you are driving, take selfies as you drive home in the BMW your Daddy bought. Phew! What a tough day at work.

@ Muruts,
for some reason i can not add a comment.
it is well know that non-Chinese people are lazy.
That is why non-Chinese manufacturing is based in China - non Chinese people are too lazy to make anything or do anything for themselves anymore.
we have been told this over and over (especially when in China).
so it must be true if Chinese people say it, and we know how honest and truthful they all are.
