Mine is pure horror. I am keep thinking, 'it's only mine, but at previous place wasn't any better.

There was DDOS attack in USA 10-days ago, so they might exchange hits toward each other. Who knows ...

mine definitely comes and goes...   I get a lot of disconnects with the alert-   Wi-Fi: Looking for network

MacBook Air  - maybe 3 years old but software & OS kept updated.  cleaned from rubbish files pretty regularly.

Honestly I don't know whether to blame the Mac, the router, or provider.

Mine has never been good, or as advertised. My dowmload speed was 2M, and was lousy, normally around 900K. Thinking it would solve it, changed to a faster download, and a waste of time.
Then good me a download meter that allows me to monitor download speed constantly. And this is what I have found. Pleasde remember I am supposed to have 10 M at all times.
In mornings and afternoons, I have about 3 M. Around 6 pm drops damn low, anywhere from o KPS to about 200 KPS, and continues like that until 10 to 11 pm. Then slowly builds up again.
Now, I do not claim to be a computer expert to tell you why this is happening. But to me, it is a lack of hardware and an excess of customers, combined that the [providers do not give a hut about their clients, because all do the same.

icnif77:

I am not an expert either, but I spotted the same as you without meter. Just by observing 'loading' on me puter. 'Timely' the same as you're saying.

I'd say, it is busy time for Internet in China, i.e. 'everybody are either free of work or aren't sleeping' and using Internet, so speed decreases, because of too many users and opposite.

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
