They use water on a brush to make the marks. When dried it can be used again. Not like the carbon paper of old from the US.

Sound absolutely nothing like carbon paper as that was used to make carbon copies of what you were writing. Would you care to explain your point again?

Just wondering what it is made of and if kids use it for playing with their hands and foot prints is it safe. On the first look it appears to look like the old carbon paper. It was the only way i knew how to explain it.

I think that is right, something that is opaque when dry and translucent when wet. Where's the science guy?
