I was in china for 1 year and would sometimes hear this little tune that sounded like it would come from a music box. Or maybe something you would hear at a ride at a circus. it was a little mellow tune, no words just the music. I could never find where it was coming from. Has anyone have any idea?

Where do you hear the tune? In a shop, or on the street, in general.
In Changsha, the street cleaning trucks play tunes as they hose the streets down. So far I've heard "Happy Birthday" and "Row, Row, Row Your Boat." It sounds like what you are describing. Very simple and no words, almost like a calliope.

Ive heard it just out in the streets sometimes, I thought it was a cellphone tune one day but it wasnt. In Jingmen the cleaning trucks also have little music to them it kinda funny/cute lol
The voices in my head tell me not to pay attention to it, as it is just my imagination.

Really because my voices try to make up works to the music. It's kind of a nice break compared to the arguing and yelling they normally do.
