Q: No Criminal Convictions (Police Check) from China

Has anybody ever got a background check from China?

Did you get it in person or from outside of China?

How did you get it? What is the easiest way to obtain one?

I am currently out of China but I can ask a friend to pick it up if need be.

it is unclear if you are A) Chinese looking for a no criminal convition (police check) from China while you are not in China, or if you are B)  not Chinese and looking for the same for China, while not in China.

Can you please clairfy a bit more: are you Chinese or not?

And I don't mean another new alias / first time poster spamming a link for such a service.

a first basic step would be for you to contact your consualte and ask them.

They would have the most appropriate and reliable information as to how to do this.

I would suggest that you do it in person, whether you are Chinese or not, as not to do so leaves it open to the suspicion that it may be tampered with / illegal in some way.

This is not the sort of thing i would leave to a friend to do, no matter how good they are.

If you are from the U.K. and want a criminal record check sent to China you can do it all online. It's a bit expensive and it takes a few weeks. I applied online for basic disclosure, sent them all the I.D they needed via email and got the CRB check sent to my mum's house. My mum then sent it to an agent in Edinburgh who I think had it validated by a lawyer and then authenticated by the Chinese embassy in Edinburgh. When it was all done I had them DHL it over to me in China. Voila! 350 quid out of pocket!

That is crazy just 350 quid? I can do it for 200 quid altogether from https://www.apostille.org.uk/

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
