Not sure which category because they could go in several and these are just off the top of my head without really thinking about it  but I feel like Bowie, Metallica and Johnny Cash should be there somewhere.

diverdude1:

yeah, I feel like an idiot overlooking The Man in Black,,,,,,  and Mr. Bowie gets his own category,,,,,   hmmmm,,,,, Progressive Solo rock?  The long overdue 'Major Tom' Award ?

I also like Marty Robbins, Johnny Horton, Gordon Lightfoot, and Uriah Heep. I think diverdude has made some good choiceswink

diverdude1:

Never followed any of those 4 very much,,,, but funny thing I was viewing some oldy footage of Heep the other night,,, what struck me the most is how he would (probably) never be accepted these days.  I mean the dude was before the age of 'pretty boy/pretty girl' music.  He is one weird looking dude,,, and all he cared about was rockin' the fk outta that flute !  Two points for Eccentricity!

diverdude1:

haha,,, just a quick sidenote:   Robbins was considered old-timer when I was a kid,,,  haha,,, he must be 'super old-timer' by now!  But I am glad I grew up listening to that old-stuff,,,  my best friends dad used to take us to the local Honky-tonk with him when we were kids,,,  haha,, remember it like it was yesterday.

Can I pop in Yehudi Menuhins 1962 recording of Beethovens Violin conerto in D? Quite simply the most sublime performance ever recorded.

diverdude1:

u make me want a VPN.  don't know if it's exactly same category as 'Classical',, probably not, but u made me think of seeing Phantom of the Opera,,, That's what I call sublime!

'Think of me,,,  think of me softly,,, when u say goodnight,,,,'

guys,,, dunno if it's as well-presented as it used to be,, but save your pennies and take your girl to Phantom,,, either London or NY,,,   whatta show!

Dave Matthews Band with Trey Anastasio & John Popper of Phish ... at Roseland Ballroom in NYC, Feb. 1995 .... 10' gig blasting through me 'UE SuperFi Pro' earplugs, i.e.very loud - happiness surprise ....

" ...and the Wind begins to Howl, yeah yeah,

... no reason to get exited ...

who feel that life is but a joke

.... the hour is gettin' late .

....outside in the cold distance ... wild cat growl .... "

Gig is of course ''All Along 'the-ir!' ----> Watchtower'' .... with tears in my eyes, 'cause of the higher decibel intake ... he  he

What a shtick ....

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
