Sign up with Google Sign up with FacebookQ: quickest way to get a chinese wife into america
anyone have any experience with this ?
the situation is that i'm married to a chinese girl and we both reside in china right now. we were going to do an I-30 form and then once it's approved move back to america and then change the status.
however, since it can take quite awhile to get approved for the I-30 i was wondering if there is a quicker way for us to get into america and then once in america do an I-30 or whatever other paperwork would need to be done
we would like to leave china by January 2014
i've heard there's some agencies in china that are very good in dealing with these situations and can get couples into america very quick and help explain the process. of course i feel like it's a huge waste of money to pay an agency in china for something like that since whatever their tricks are should be something i can just do on my own.
agencies would take your money for nothing, you can try for a different visa and then adjust the status of the visa for getting married, example bring her in on a student visa or business visa for training but you need a good bank account for approval.
America does have a fiancee visa. I'm Canadian but the USA looks easier than Canada. I think the visa issue is a bunch of shit. What right do our governments have scrutinizing who we marry or if the marriage is legit.? I can go out this afternoon, get drunk, meet a woman and get married, who cares. Even with a regular relationship, who analyzes or interviews you to see if the marriage will last?
I tried to get a visitor visa for my girl friend, I jumped through all the hoops, dotted my ''i''s, cost was $450 and I bet it took just 5 minutes of consideration, about the time it took to ink up the stamp,''denied'' to process it. I think its just a money grab.
I tried to talk my girl friend into getting in my suitcase. Better idea would be to duct-tape her to my body and get a fat suit made and just wear her home. She didn't like that idea either.

The problem is that there so many people who do these green card marriages, and aren't legit. My husband has an aunt that managed to get a marriage green card, and she can't say a word of English, and he can't say a word of Chinese. They communicated primarily through QQ messaging, and used google translate the whole time. No kidding.
The US needs to control immigration to an extent, simply to control inflation of the population, but those sham marriages piss me off. It makes it that much harder for people like me and husband that have a genuine marriage and wish to one day leave China.
Are you already married? You can try to enroll her in an academic program but do know when she goes for the interview that they will likely ask her if she's married or not and if they find out she's married to you there's a chance (not sure how high) she will be rejected and asked to apply for permanent residency which is the standard way for her to get into America. I can't really think of other visa's to try but you will probably run into the same problem. BTW, the I-130 can take as little as 6 months but its all just guessing. Good luck.

that's illegal and that will make it more difficult for other legit students.

I guess you didn't get my point. My point is applying the right way is still the best way but seems he doesn't want to wait so those are the possibilities you are left with. Sometimes we have to explain why those other ways wouldn't work before someone comes to their senses.
some english schools in the summer have visit america tours for 10 days for about 30000 rmb, while she is in the us, you get married and adjust her status, as long as she entered on a legal visa, she is allowed to stay while it is processed, easier approval because the government is broke and less likely to fly her home now that she is in the country.

ambivalentmace:
yes its illegal but nobody in america enforces immigration laws after your in the country only before you get there
In a container with forty others.

Brilliant and I was just thinking of bringing one girl friend home. I have 8 rooms that could be bedrooms, still too many, guess I could sell some to pay for the shipping.
A friend said you can file the CR-1, file it directly at your local consulate or embassy. Normal processing time is 1-3 months until interview. Google the CR- 1 visa China for more info.
Just wait it out, don't do anything illegal or stupid to get there faster, as it just makes it harder for the next person to go after! I know the wait sucks, but be patient. My gf and I will go through the same process as you, and I've researched the difficulty it can provide. If you really love your girl, and want her to safely come back home to visit family someday, just make the most of your last months in China. This is time to give her country its goodbyes, she will miss her home, so don't rush her out of there, even if you both have good jobs lined up and a home to stay in.
It'll take a at least a year for them to approve your I-130. I handed mine in early last year and it just got approved last month. And I still have to be scheduled an interview which should be this month or next. Hope you're in it for the long haul because the US government doesn't hurry up for anybody.
I don't know if it's appropriate to plug another site, but Candle for Love has loads of info on the topic. You should head over there.
Ok, it doesn't cost that much to get a real passport from certain countries around the world, that would be quite legal (and have less hassles entering the US than a Chinese passport!)
TedDBayer:
how do you get a passport, if you are not a citizen? what country Korea, Hong Kong?
Shining_brow:
Certain Latin American or African countries will do one - for a fee! (yes, you take citizenship). Belize is famous for it!!! (as is Panama..)
Chop her into eight pieces and send her Fed-Ex. Seriously, it works, i've made an entire business out of it.
TedDBayer:
send me one, only need 3 pieces, but I want a matching set this time, the last ones weren't and the main part appeared to be from Thailand, shipping error or problems at the wa(ho)rehouse?
