Q: should I continue to be single or get married?
I am a chinese woman, 36years old. I am a typical leftover woman.
now I feel I am in dilemma. My peers all get married and gave birth babies,except me. I dont have my own family, which makes me fell I miss felicity. on the other side, even if I get married, raising kids at my age seems too tired,and also I am not sure whether marriage can bring much happier.
Is this middle age crisis? If it is, than I suffer from it.
Are single women in China allowed to adopt? You'd be giving a child in need a chance to have a better life. Just a thought.
Why you call yourself leftover? Respect yourself. A lot of women who are single because they are picky, they didn't choose a lot of men.
my simple silly response is why are you here? the whole thing aout every animal is to reproduce..... have a kid if you do not want to do that... have offspring then why bother.
so I say marry and have a kid 36 is not too old

You don't have to reproduce to contribute to humanity in a positive way. Plenty of people out there are staying single and /or childless and instead doing meaningful things with their lives.
On the other hand, I could point out lots of people mass producing babies who will probably grow up to be exactly like their lifelong unemployed, welfare dependent, addicted parents.
You say that you are too tired - Probably from sleeping with many men during your best reproductive years. Now you are spent. Your life force is weak, so you should not pass those weak genes onto your children. Nature is taking its course. Rejoice!
