Q: "Street Loaf" in Beijing?
Now that it is autumn, I am seeing vendors all over the Beijing selling what I affectionately refer to as "Street Loaf". Its that thing that looks like big brown sheet case covered in tomato slices and other vegetables and... things.
Does anyone know what it is called, what its ingredients are and if it is any good?

What you're referring to is actually a sweet snack from Xinjiang. I've never found out the name, but I tried it before and it's made of dried fruit and some kind of grains/cereal I think. The "tomatoes" on top are dried apricots as far as I know.

Oh yeah, it's quite good! I recommend giving it a try, at least once.
