Are they regulated, use sterile equipment, or would I be coming home with Hepatitis or Aids or something? Anyone have an idea of how much a smallish one would cost?
I have been told by my partner that tatoos in China are suprisingly not much cheeper than Australia. So between 500-1000 rmb for a medium size at a reputable parlour. I am sure you could get cheaper but there is the associated health risks and I woukld be doing lots of research into the sterilisation methods used bbefore I let anyone near me. I did the same before some extensive dental work I had done in China. Hep B & C are the big concerns. I would think it very wise for anyone who visits China to be vacinated for hep B, but hep C can only be prevented by insuring no blood to blood transfer.
