I like to fly kites without any hassles from the cops away from power lines and hopefully not too many trees to at my 5 meter kite. Yes, on a windy day I have to either wear a harness or tie the line to my mother-in-law.

Don't have any advice for you i'm afraid. I mean, I was gonna say "Fly 'em in the air" but that's crap. I just liked your bit about tieing the line to your mother-in-law. Made me wanna get a kite. And go out kite flying with my mother-in-law.
I got a friend in London who used to have a kite like that. I don't know how big but on a windy day it would take a big man skidding across the grass on his arse at quite a speed. Had one kid of about ten come up once and hassle him to let him fly it. My mate said no, no, no, but the kid wouldn't let up. In the end my friend, knowing quite well what was coming, said, "Ok then" and gave the kid the reigns. The kid shot up into the air like a rocket. His feet were about ten feet off the ground before my friend screamed at him to let go. Funny as hell.
