Somebody who may lay on the couch all day and only get up to go to the bathroom or get something to eat.
My wife's twin sister. She's a housewife, but her parents and inlaws do all the child-raising and cleaning, so she can watch Korean soap operas all day.
Which I guess is the dream life of most Chinese women good for her.
I thought all Chinese women are like this.
At least my ex was....freakin drove me nuts.
Eat sleep crap pee eat watch tv ....repeat.

I have to beg my wife to take a break and just do something for herself. Even though we have her mother and an Ayi living with us, she goes non-stop. My kids could not ask for a better mother. (They could ask for a better father, and often do. ;) )
It's more like a desk chair potato or net bar potato, and they may not even get up for food.
Getting out of bed to walk to the couch would count as exercise for my wife.
She just lays there surfing the web with the bedroom TV on as background noise.
If she could get someone else to go to the bathroom for her, she wouldn't have to get up at all.

That is pretty impressive. Though, I have to admit today I have been a couch potato. It is very cold and miserable outside and I haven't moved my ass except for the occasional bathroom break. Even then I curse my bladder size all the way down the stairs.

Me too. It's crappy outside, so I'm just sitting around in my Shanghai Business Suit (aka Pajamas) for as long as I possibly can.
I don’t think the Chinese would call it a potato maybe a couch soy bean or something
