I will be going to New York City few monthes latter. Any fun places to recommend to see? Where is downtown of New York City? I might arrive at the airport of NYC in the middle night,is it safe to take subway alone as a young foreign woman to my hotel in the middle night? I have found most hotels in NYC cost more than 1000rmb. But I have seen Chinatown has some cheap hotels cost few hundreds rmb which seem acceptable for me to live there for a while. But my concern is the security of living in a cheap hotel in Chinatown. Any idea of the security of those cheap hotels in Chinatown and the security of living in some hostels?
Besides,I have heard airplane crashes. So will it be safe for me to take Chinese airline? Any cheap safe airline to recommend?
chinatowns speak guangdonghua as main language. go there speaking putonghua, and you'll be treated like a backwater retard ripe for scamming.
if your visit were filmed and subbed, it would be more fun to watch than an episode of Star Trek!

Chinatown hotels are run by chinese people, you tell us about how secure and trustworthy they are.
Take the subway for a late night meal in Harlem. You are sure to have a great time. Lots of handsome, interesting entrepreneurs can be found on various corners building their trading companies. They will probably want to enter into some type of business arrangement with you should you approach them.
Fashion Tip: The shorter the skirt, the higher the heels, the lower the top, the bigger the hair is the style for most professional ladies.
my experience is that one cannot generally choose which airline one flies. The criteria (departure time, arrival time, layover, connections, price) we use as our filter typically limits the choice to one or two airlines.
Don't worry, all the big international carriers are basically safe, operating Boeing or Airbus equipment.
*catch a Broadway show... I guess Phantom of The Opera is playing....

'I got my US visa yesterday, and now I'm going to buy a plane ticket. Any recommendations for cheap airlines?'
The cheapest is by boat. The smaller the boat the cheaper the ticket.
If I want to get Taiwan's tourist visa, I must first purchase return plane ticket.
Why is Taiwan so different than USA?
icnif77:
To Taiwan? Did you know, Taiwanese Embassy in London is underground? Why's that? All other buildings in vicinity are on the ground, and when you enter Taiwan's, you must walk down the stairs from the street.
Biggest advice , be nice to people. There were two cases of Chinese getting killed in NYC . I suspect for being an idiot to a local. People won't put up with your crap there.
Don't even bother going to NYC. Go somewhere else.
BHGAL:
Omaha Nebraska comes to mind. Maybe you, Vicky, could run in to Warren Buffet. Or you could bid on an auctioned lunch with him. (about $2.2million). If that fails, Omaha has plenty of corn and wheat and soybeans, pork, beef and vegies. Not gonna starve.
just a few degrees north of Shanghai.
Not enough adventure?
Try Nome Alaska, they (the Eskimos) are very welcoming and much closer to home, should the need arise to return. Positive they would appreciate some good Chinese food cooking direction to go with the seal fins and whale blubber. Bring some chilies and soy, ginger and garlic..... you'd be a hit. New (Chinese) fermentation hints may be good too. Not sure, but an abacus might be good for training too.
Change is as good as a rest.

Vicky, look at how many thumbs up you got for this question: 1. So one person is supporting you. Why not find that one person and do a private chat so as to keep this rubbish off the board. OK? Maybe that one person can help you find a chat group that actually has the purpose of discussing travel in the USA.

Extra 'up/down-vote' is out of my double handle. I have several handles. Most of the time, when I'm out of my mind with boredom, I'll ask and answer my own 'sensible' Qs.
''Why US Embassy officer said: 'You passed'?''
Me thinks, you all here should know the A, because you're keep applying for US visas, especially all USA and EU/UK citizens, working in China.
I was contemplating ('on hold') with my last Q for a long time. I think, my IQ will 'show' as much higher than in real, after this Q........
Look for the best steaks, burgers and pizza places. If you want to meet men, just stand on a street corner and wait at night
You should visit the empire state building. If you jump from the top spider man will catch you. Failing that just kill yourself whilst in China.
Oh! Just woke up. What? After few months? Is that supposed to continue for next few months?
Popcorn please.
Admin cleared several spamming Qs an hour ago. I hope, he used 'ban' button too!
OP isn't asking genuine Qs, because she wants to visit NY or similar.
She wants to sell 'knowledge' she'll gather here to other Chinese who want to emigrate to the West, by advising and managing 'how-to-go-West' office.
Miserable, repugnant, pretentious, 'made-up' Qs!
No advice on West should be given to OP.
