Q: What is the fastest way to get something delivered from Canada to China?

I lost a part from something and need a replacement fast. What is the fastest way of getting something to China. Regular mail should be up to 10 days anywhere else in the world. Expresspost/ courier should be 5 days, but not to my experience in China and this isn't fast enough. I need something yesterday. It's health related. What would you use?

Ups says they have three day air but they would probably get delayed five days

So your best bet would probably be to bribe someone witch I do not condone

Carry it on the plane with you.. or your friend.

If it's "health related", and urgent... I'd seriously consider looking at other countries around you to get what you need, and go to get them. HK or Thailand if you're lucky.. or go east to Taiwan or Japan - even South Korea.

I can't think of any other options that can get something from any country overseas in past Chinese customs in less than the 5 days you're talking about!

American Express or DHL to Hong Kong.  Go to Hong kong and pick it up.  I used to do that to renew my travel visa.   3 day turnaround, which means you can probably get it delivered next day.

well, he needed it 3 years ago yesterday... is that grammatically correct sentence? or should I say, He needed it yesterday, 3 years ago... though, none of the two sounds right.

Shining_brow:

The second, with a  dash. "He needed it yesterday - 3 years ago".

The first would mean  that yesterday, he needed it 3 years ago (but today, he needed it 2 years ago...).

As a fellow Canadian, I would like to wish well.

As other have recommended, try UPS, Fedex, etc...

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
