Q: What is a good Chinese TV show?
I try to watch TV shows to improve my language skills but most of them are just too boring. Any suggestions?

There are 5 hosts and are very funny.
You dont have to speak well to understand most of the jokes
Seeing as China just passed a rule banning all reality & "overly entertaining" television shows (not that I knew of any before the law), I think you should be asking yourself this question:
What is a good rock to hit myself in the head with? Because that will provide you more entertainment value. :)
The BEST thing to see on television you need to first unplug the set....
Philbravery is right, Happy Camp is quite entertaining. Also, there's a sitcom called Love Apartment (爱情公寓) that is pretty funny. You can watch it on TV in the late morning/early afternoon or download it on Funshion.
Check out that monkey king show with the pig and the monkey. They always have special effects and you can pick up some dialogue from that show. Lots of action to should be quite entertaining for you.

I wouldn't normally watch that kind of thing, but in China your choice is either hardcore drama or variety shows, and at least this one deals with real life China stuff, albeit in an extremely exaggerated way. Poverty, broken homes, domestic abuse, losing face infront of a rich dude, filth everywhere, psychotic grudges. Way better than the "omg I live in an empty, prestine country occupied by only a couple dozen rich people so I'll poison my pregnant cousin" or "casually slaughter millions of Japanese" types of shows.
