Hey, just wondering what the process is as I have been in China for many years now, but in the north of China, though this summer I shall be leaving and going south (Guangzhou) where I need to do the (Degree Authentication) which I have never done before as it wasn't required in the north where I was.
My question is what is the process? my new university is doing it all for me, but through an agent, they will send the things away and it will take up to 1 month they said, I am from the UK and they said it can be done in China - I am a little worried as its all my original documents and I have been cheated before in China so don't want it to happen again.
Also, another thing is, I heard people using fake degrees and doing the same process by just sending it away and they get verified so easily, wtf is that all about? I mean I studied all them years basically for nothing then? as people here can get away with it still so easy.
Has anyone else from the UK done this process and how did it go? Thanks

I have heard that the UK has stricter rules on privacy than America for college records.
My only thought on this is " how does one feel about a company in China, half the earth away from your home having the authority to check your records with out a power of attorney or the college verifing from the individual that you consent to the release.
China is great at making fake documents, almost as good as Nigerians, this is like letting criminals watch criminals at a prison instead of guards.
Hotwater:
The Chinese company won’t have the authority to check his records. They’ll send his certificates to an agent in the UK where they’ll get notarized & then authenticated by the relevant bodies in the UK.
@Hotwater - they said to me that it doesn't need to be sent to the UK and can be done here. That was clear and I did ask.
@ambivalentmace - I signed a declaration form for this privacy thing so this is cool
I just want to know how its really done, I heard so many people say that they do not even look at it, they just stamp it and pass it along to the next person for a stamp and done. I really see no point when I hear stuff like that.
Anyone here from the UK done such?
