back home i start making a tattoo, and i wanna finish it here. does anyone one know where is a good and SAFE tattoo shop in beijing??
thanks
go to sanlitun, once there is one in 3.3 building...or Tongli building...my memory is not clear....
and if you are in haidian, go to wudaokou, there got 2 shops, not far from the subway stations....
Don't go to a cheap run down tattoo shop because many of those places can re-use needles its not as safe as going to a more professional shop. Recently someone got a tattoo and they found out they got aids when they went back home. If you go to Sanlitun or wudaokou make sure they are clean and make sure you ask them and find out if they reuse the needles...just trying to watch out for you safety wouldn't want you to catch a disease..

Well said. I was going to point out not just AIDS but Hepatitis, etc.
Longxiutang in 798 (by 751 power square where intro used to be held) is good. The owner, Little Dragon is an amazing tattoo artist who spent years working at one of the top tattoo studios in New York. It's extremely clean and the equipment is up to Western standards. If you're into goth or scarey tattoos, this is the place for you.
Even if a place has a good reputation as being clean. I can't ever imagine getting a tattoo in China. To risky in regards to your health imo.
It really depends on what style your current half finished tattoo is. If it is Japanese then you want to go and see DongDong at Mummy Tattoo:
His work is exceptional and he is recognised internationally. Google him for more details about his past - once you see who he apprenticed with I think you'll stop having any doubts as to his level of skill. I'm not convinced that he (or any other tattooist come to that) would want to complete a half finished piece from another artist though...
You could also try the places listed on a previous eChinaCities article:

As concerns the hygiene of tattoo studios here in general I would say that the majority are very shoddy - but that's because the majority are just jokers trying to cash in on the new tattoo fad... so never go to the small place just down the road where you can get a colourful skin infection for 500RMB.
Instead go to the well known and/or recommended places listed above, and check them out yourself. If you are even the slightest bit worried about the cleanliness of the establishment then just walk away... just like you would do back home...
