You should probably contact your embassy/embassies for info about the legality of a marriage in China and if it would be recognised back in your own country.

I was always told, never confirmed that 2 foreigners could not marry in China unless you went to Hong Kong, also many mainland Chinese youth marry in Hong Kong without a hukou and at least 16 years of age. I suspect the mainland will change this as quick as possible.

Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding.
Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money.
Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.

stiggs, sometimes i wonder if the process of getting married is supposed to be miserable to convince the victims that the marriage is heaven on earth and the process is punishment for the reward of marriage, like you earned this travesty. China treats gettin married in a government office no more important than squatting on a dirty toilet, next in line please.
Stiggs:
From what I understand it used to be worse, and not even that long ago.
The victim first needed to get permission to marry from his boss and if you weren't an arse kissing little toady type the boss could well refuse out of spite. Or make you pay him for his gracious permission to marry whoever it was your parents told you you were going to marry. If you were the bride hopefully you hadn't been kidnapped from another province or nearby country to be forced into the marriage.
Then the guy had to go to some place where they'd shove a swab up the eye of his dick to test for VD, presumably you had to pay for that pleasure too.
RandomGuy:
Legal marriage under the state is the biggest scam ever, it's basically designed to enslave men and to turn them into providers for the woman and the family. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for a man to get married ever, and don't even start talking about love, nothing prevents you from living together if you love each other, there is no need to involve the state in any way whatsoever. Especially these days where in many countries the man has to give up half if his assets and monetary worth in case of divorce, it's suicide.
Two foreigners can’t narry anymore in China since April 1st this year.
Bady writtwn article about it here:

go to Hong Kong.
RandomGuy:
I love how this article only shows photos of Chinese men with foreign women even though they make up like 1% of all marriages between foreigners and Chinese LMAO talk about bias.
Marriages in China are administered by the marriage registration office of the local civil affairs bureau, (民政局Min Zheng Ju) in each jurisdiction
