which country do you belong to and medical books in china are on sky rocketing price. if you want to buy international books better buy in your own country or its cheaper to find out sub-continent printed edition for it or some singapore printed version. they will be cheaper for you . greys anatomy is of 800 yuan on taobao but printed with cheaper and rough paper......... photo copied guyton physiology is of 60 yuan not colored simple classic............

better decide ..... if you want to have something good for money so buy in your country... so there are shop in shanghai but they are very expensive Smile

You can apply for a US$ Bank of China Great Wall credit card and use it to buy on line from the USA.

You will need to apply at the provincial headquarters credit card department.

MEDICAL BOOKS IN CHINA

CASE 1:-

You can buy Chinese adapted version of the books at a very cheap price because they are black and white and text is very condensed.....I wouldnt recommend an international student to buy these books from China .

CASE 2:-

Buy the international edition of medical books from your country or from Hong Kong or Singapore....international edition and USA edition are almost same some times they even have same ISBN ......for example----US edition of Harrison's Internal Medicine retails for US$200 and the international  edition of the same title retails for US$130.

Since I have been a medical student in  a foreign country i.e. China so I can tell you from my experience buy the international editions or go for ebook versions (preferred) because it wouldn't be a burden on you at the time u r leaving the country.

Try     www.dangdang.com    it's the mainland's biggest online book sales website....like the Taobao for books website. Not all are dodgy reproductions and original prints are available.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
