Q: Where do you get English phone apps in China?

I'm looking at upgrading to my first smartphone. I have set my sights on the Samsung S3, for various reasons I am not an Apple fan and when it comes to phones I am using my PC / Laptop mantra of getting the best and latest you can afford at the time as it will be out of date next week!

However, as an expat teacher in China, with limited Chinese, but studying the language hard, I obviously want some English 'speaking' apps, most of them will be ( I expect) language based. Any tips?

I download apps from my computer at android.com.  My favorite app is Google Translate and AK Notpad.  (I use the notepad to store notes containing directions and common questions written in Chinese.)

And as far as a phone is concerned, you might want to hold off for a couple of weeks.  I heard the Galaxy Note II is coming out very soon.

Thanks, I heard about the Galaxy note II, iirc that is supposed to be a 10 inch giant, WAYY too large for my pockets and I REFUSE to get a 'manbag'.

I thought it was going to have the same 5.5 inch screen the Note I has.  That is the phone I use, and while it takes a bit of getting used too, it does fit in my pocket nicely.

try http://www.android.com/apps/#

My LG 3D phone was bigger (than an iPhone) which made it easier for someone to steal.
