I have been getting haircuts at the traditional barber shop at WangfuJing Street. Does anybody else get haircuts at other places that you think you got a good deal for the haircut they gave you?
I go to the traditional barber shop because its fast and its inexpensive! That's how I like it! Plus afterwards your at Wangfujing and there is a lot to do.
What barber shop have you been to lately?
they dont do african hair here..... ha.
so none.
Xpat.John:
Come to Guangzhou. There are several places that specialize in cutting black peoples hair.

yeah many girls i know go to guangzhou to get their hair done. Us boys usually just shave each other's hair.much simpler that way if you know someone who knows what he's doing.. plus i'm in beijing. too long a journey just for a haircut. ;-)
Tony Studio is okay but expensive. It's slightly cheaper than Tony & Guy whose name it clearly rips off. For the lowest level stylist, a cut and wash costs around 180 RMB.
I pay 150 at Tony and guy - I go for the "stylist" who is the cheapest.
Xpat.John:
Dang, Beijing is expensive. I think the most I have ever paid for a haircut here has been 60RMB. And my wife almost feinted at hearing that price. :)
Monterey:
well, I dont speak CH so im comfortable at T&G because they speak English. Im basically paying to break down the language barrier...the haircuts are average.
Xpat.John:
Oh, this isn't a comment about you. It has always amazed me just how expensive things are in Beijing and Shanghai in comparison to other cities I have lived in here.
the barber shop

yeah you would think so wouldn't you? I hope it's not a restaurant or a coffee shop.
I think you should go to a butcher tell him to start at the neck.

They say opposites attract. I hope you meet someone who is good-looking, intelligent, and cultured.
