Q: Where's the worst place in China for pickpockets?

Because Beijing is pretty safe. I've heard Guangzhou is pretty torrid.

On buses. The first time I took a bus any distance was from Yangshou to Guilin and I was so tired. I had people staring at me so hard that I thought if I fall asleep now, I'll wake up naked. I lost my phone on a bus later going back.

In a crowded place. I would say probably a subway or any other place where you have a lot of people so close together.

Train stations are widely known as not safe in China, specially for pickpockets. Any crowded place.

Getting close to 3 years in China now, and I've never been pickpocketed.  Small town FTW!  But, when I do venture out to bigger cities, my occupied pockets/bag are guarded constantly
