Harper is above and beyond all the other candidates listed.
I vote Wen Jiabao
mattsm84:
Wen Jiabao gets a lot of credit outside of China for something courageous he did 20 years ago and for an interview he did on CNN a few years ago.
Don't know enough about Harper to comment, know too little about the alternatives to Hu Jintao to realistically form an opinion, but as to Obama / Romney, for me that is like being between a rock and a hard place, I, for once, am thankful that in reality it is none of my darned business. If I was forced to choose it would have to be Obama, if for no other reason than as a Secular Humanist I could never trust an advocate of a blatantly invented and charlatan religious cult to guide a nation that was formed with the separation of Church and State as a founding principle by some of the greatest minds of the 'enlightenment'.
I would vote by write in candidate: Donald Duck and Daffy Duck for President and VP. Or vice-versa....
Can I have a write-in candidate for US President?
Condoleezza Rice
Boris Johnson for President of the USA
mattsm84:
Yea, I hear that UK politics are crazy right now. Johnson is placing himself in a strong position to challenge David Cameron, who's in a tight spot in part because he has to keep the lib-dems happy, for the party leadership before too much longer, while the leader of Labour just barely out his own brother for the top spot.
I'm going to vote for Obama again. I support most of his social and economic policies, the Auto bailout, stimulus and the ACA specifically--although the last two should have been more than they were. Beyond that we've more or less pulled out of Iraq, and killed Bin Laden. Afghanistan is a quagmire, but we knew that going in. Drone strikes, while morally objectionable, are at least cheaper and more effective than the alternative. I do wish that he'd ease up on the drug war, but that's only a matter of time really given how expensive and unpopular it is.
That said, the opposition party is losing its god damned mind because it's beginning to understand that its looking at getting frozen out of the Presidency for the next 16 to 20 years as the electorate gets younger, less white, and better educated. Since the loss in 2008 the plan was to run to the hard right to turn out the base. It made gains in the 2010 election, but its costing them this time around as they've alienated moderate voters.
Justin Trudeau. Harper is a bastard who thinks he has a mandate after winning about 36% support.
The only think that scares me about Romney is that there are too many stupid Americans that will vote for him not realizing they re the ones he is going to screw. Let's hope there is at least 1 more sane person voting Nov. 6th in Ohio than the stupid ones.
I don't know enough about Chinese politicians to have a view.
I posted this thing yesterday ....not happy with the responses ........Pierre Trudeau is probably the best answer in my mind............... from the past
the best answer today is ME ... BHGAL ... vote again ..vote a hundred times
