Q: why are chinese so slow to adapt to a new situation?

there is a bus stop that has partially collapsed (cause unknown). but the part still standing is clearly damaged and could collapse at any minute. but people still wait under it like morons i mean the weight of the collapsed part is pulling it down the foundations (legs) are bent. there is no law that says you must be under the bus stop to catch the bus

8000 years of tradition would be the easy answer. But I'll say it's the method of schooling. They are only taught to absorb the information in the text books, never to think for themselves. So with that, many can look right at something and not even draw a conclusion about what logically with happen. I've pointed stuff like this out to people all the time and all i get back is a "huh, I didn't think about that"

It's like what I asked the other day, they sit there and hail taxis furiously when the taxis CLEARLY already have someone in them. Are they just hoping the driver's gonna stop and kick the guy out?

Are you the hunk or the sexy gal who was standing close by? Well those standing there could have been motivated by sex-appeal. Did another one ask you for a date even though he or she was in a dangerous spot? Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

I dont buy what you say. I have met many Chinese both in China and Australia who are some of the most resoucerfu people I have met. They are very adept at problem solving and adapt to new technology and ways of doing business. In areas of behaviour they seem slower to change their personal habits as they either do not understand or do not care that they impact on others.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
