Q: Will the one child policy ever end?

The Sex ratios are uneven in China...there are way too many boys. Will this cause a change to the one child policy?

it will end as chinese girls and boys are not marrying because the demands and condition can not be fulfilled, education gap, gender gap means many boys than girls in china, higher divorce rate, abortions rate is as high as you can imagine. girls are avoiding the parenting kind of thing in china... they give birth to child and give to your their parents to help the child in growth and development... cost of everything is so high they chinese are now believing that children are expensive to keep or born them.....
so i think the policy will stay but the attitude will change towards parenting in future in china...

Sure this policy will change in some day not so far away.

That is not because Sex ratios, high living cost or others above mentioned. If you know why the birth rate was so high in China, why we applied birth control policy and why people are considering change the policy then you will know more about china.

China had high birth rate the most important reason is the lack of social security system. Being old and illness will be a disaster for the family. So, more kids more support for the family. But for the country, the growing population became big burden for the development. So, we had to control the population and develop the economy, education, social security, health care, crease income.......

Now, education is free, givernment can take care the most part for illness, the old ones can receive money from govenment every month. What's more, people's opinion for have children is changed too.

When the world keep changing, the policing should follow the steps too.

Too little, too late. There are 30 million horny (and poor) Chinese dudes who are frustrated and angry. When China's economic apocalypse takes place, they will be the first to go on a mass stabbing spree. The souls of milions of unborn Chinese girls will finally be able to rest in peace.

It ended last year. But too little too late. We have seen the industrialized west. The birth rates are down (not by government decree) because the nations are wealthy. Some parts of China are almost there while others are already there. Face it, Rich people don't want many kids.

It has ended but effectively not much will change since it's become ridiculously expensive just to have one child.
